More complete and more precisely balanced than commercial pet food.
Create homemade diets for your pets that are more complete and more precisely balanced than any commercial pet food. PDD Beta tracks more nutrients than commercial pet food and balances critical fatty acids that the commercial pet food industry has failed to include in their product offerings. With PDD Beta you can create meals and snacks that are precisely optimized for only your pet. We call this "personalized" nutrition. It's like having your own animal nutritionist right by your side!
Nutrient Summary for Pet Diets
Nutrient summary graphs let you quickly see if you have reached your pet's nutrient requirements for a recipe or for more meals spread throughout the day. You can even include snacks and treats, if desired.
Nutrient summaries are expressed as a percentage and are color coded
A green bar means that the requirement has been met. A yellow bar means you are short of the nutrient, while a red bar means that you have surpassed the safe upper limit for that nutrient.
Adjust ingredient amounts and select (or deselect) ingredients
You can easily adjust ingredient amounts and select (or deselect) ingredients to instantly see if your recipe meets the minimum or recommended nutrient levels for your pet. Each pet has different requirements so you can imagine the time you will save by using PDD Beta to create meals precisely optimized for your cat or dog.
Perfectly Balanced for Pet Diets
Balance key nutrients with ease, including important fatty acid ratios.
PDD Beta dynamically calculates all the important nutrient ratios for you and shows you graphically if you are within the recommended range when you are formulating diets for your cat or dog. So creating balanced meals is now easy.
Nutrient ratios are extremely important for your pet's health. A diet that is complete means that it contains all the essential nutrients for your dog or cat. However, a complete diet does not necessarily make it balanced or healthy.
For instance, too much calcium can interfere with the absorption of zinc and possibly lead to zinc responsive dermatosis. Calcium also interferes with magnesium and manganese absorption.
Perhaps the most important, and well known, ratio is the Calcium-Phosphorus ratio. This ratio is particularly important during the growth stage (esp. for large breed puppies). Imbalances in this ratio can lead to disease conditions such as osteochondrosis, hip dysplasia, hypertrophic osteodystrophy and other skeletal defects.
Do all of your work here. Just add ingredients and change amounts.
Chances are your recipe contains more than one ingredient. This is where the ingredient list shines! Quickly add ingredients to the ingredient list. Change the food quantity and instantly get results. Most ingredients have common measures so you can choose whether to use grams or cups or teaspoons, etc. When adding a food to the recipe database you can also input your own common measures.
Recording physiological, environmental and lifestage data is critical to designing complete and balanced meals for a pet. A handy pet info panel lets you know if you require any additional info on your pet so that you can create and balance recipes for that pet.
Keep a history of exactly what you have fed your pet.
The Diet Tracker module is where you record your pet's meal history. Just drag and drop a recipe onto the calendar and a dialog pops up. Here you can choose exactly how you have fed your recipe. Record the recipe as fed, by volume, by weight, or by ingredient. We've covered all the bases with our powerful diet tracker.
