Hi,

I am adding Chef's Canine Complete into the Food Wizard. I entered it as common measure, 1 bag, 1 pound. When I get to the vitamin screen I need to enter Vitamin A. The nutrient analysis for Chef's Canine Complete lists Vitamin A as 59.0 KIU (kilo international unit) per pound. How do I enter KIU/lb into the Food Wizard?

Thanks,

Kelly

Hi

Here are the values for this product. Note that some assumptions were made and you may want to seek clarification from the seller: Vitamin A is from Retinol, Vitamin E is natural (d-alpha-tocopherol). Also the proximate (macronutrient) values are off by 10%. Acceptable is off by 3-4% so the manufacturer/distributor erred on this part of the label. Nevertheless, the kcal derived from this product is too small to make much of a difference. The kcal value is derived from modified Atwater factors.

Note that 59.0 KIU/lb is equal to 59,000 IU/lb.
Also note that 1 ppm = 1 mg/kg

Enter the following into the Food Wizard (see screenshots below):
