I'm very excited to work with your software.
Do you have any instructions on how to create your own recipe?

Thanks,

Cyndi

Hi Cyndi,

After you have added a pet, click on the Recipes button on the ribbon. You will see a Recipe List. You can highlight one of the recipes in the list and copy it or you can choose to Add a new recipe. If adding a new recipe then you will see an Add Recipe dialog.

Enter your recipe name and enter the pet you are creating the recipe for. Click the Add button on the dialog and your new recipe will appear in the Recipe List. Select the new recipe and click on the Recipe Balancer button on the ribbon. The Recipe Balancer module is invoked. Just Search for the ingredients you want and click the plus sign beside the ingredient you want to add. The ingredient gets added to the Ingredient List and all the graphs are dynamically calculated.

Keep adding ingredients and adjust the amount until you get what you want. Don't forget to press the RETURN / ENTER after you change an ingredient amount. The new quantity is SAVED and all the graphs are updated.

See the Balance Recipes Overview video on this page for more: Tutorial Video for balancing recipes

Hi docgarry.

The Save button is no longer required so it was removed. Every time you modify an ingredient amount in a recipe, the data is saved automatically. Sorry about this old video. We will create a more up-to-date video soon. Most of the info is the same.

My recipe won't save. I add ingredients on the Recipe Balance screen and I modify the amount - any time I add a new ingredient, the amount changes back to the default 100 g, but I change it again, and I get this (for example)

Then I close the screen, and re-open the recipe and nothing (except the ingredient list) has been saved. My amounts are all reset to 100 g.

Hi Bonnie,

When you change an ingredient amount please press the Enter key. Everything will get saved. Please try this.

It is not saving my pet that I added. When I go to make a new recipe my pet does not come up in drop-down menu. Just the sample dogs. Also, when is the new update? It is hard to make a recipe when the searches come up with baby food and cereals.

Hi Lynsky71,

If you don't see your pet in the Pet Name dropdown box, there are 2 possibilities: 1) you have not completed the required pet info, or 2) you have not saved the pet info properly. Go to the PETS Module and highlight your pet and then click the EDIT button on the ribbon. You are taken to the detail view of your pet. Next, click the SAVE button on the ribbon. Now in the Recipes module try to create a recipe. You should see your pet in the dropdown.

Ok so I just noticed on the left side it says lifestage: required(in red) however I don't see how to enter that. Went to the lifestage tab but don't see how to enter stuff there either.
