Hi, I'm trying to add Solgar Zinc to my PDD foods list. I know one tablet is 22 mg. I played with it earlier and was able to get a "tablet" measurement, however, now I can't. When I did it before, I was able to select tablets vs grams in the Balance section but now it will only default to grams and I can't select "0.5 tablet"

I looked at other posts but all the photos of examples are broken, thanks!

Hi tacilittlejohn,

The tablet will probably be closer to 0.5 grams. The Food Wizard will correctly do the math for you if you enter the following, assuming that the tablet weighs 0.5 grams:

1 tablet = 0.5 grams
Name = Solgar Chelated Zinc
Ash = 0.5 grams
Zinc = 22 mg

This will let you work with both tablets and grams.

Hi tacilittlejohn,

We apologize for the images not displaying properly. We are almost finished building our new website which fixes this issue.

You need to know the gram weight of the tablet. You can either contact the manufacturer for this info or weigh it yourself if your have a milligram (.001) scale.

Can you also provide a link to this product?

Thank you, it's just bizarre because it worked a couple of hours ago, I'm not sure what changed?

Also, if it's by tablet, why is the weight required? Shouldn't I be able to measure by 1 tablet which would be 22 mg of zinc? I've included the link below.

Our software is designed this way so that reports are accurate.

You still need to know the gram weight.

Gotcha, so if this tablet is 0.05 grams and I enter it in the Food Wizard "Common Measure" it will do the math for me once I enter 22mg in the Minerals section and the values will be correct? I want to ensure I'm not over supplementing with Zinc.

When I'm in the balance section, I'm not able to select tablet so I can't see if the ratios are correct. Do you know when this will be up and running or is there a workaround in the meantime? I was able to do it earlier in the day. Is it possible there is a setting I'm missing in the food wizard? I'm selecting tablet.
