What's the process for re-installing on a new PC and copy over my existing dog diet profiles? I've still not found an explicit "Save"
option for each profile nor where that information (i.e. data file) is stored.

Hi Thepawedhiker,

HOW TO BACKUP YOUR DATA

There is only one file which holds all of your pet and recipe data. Follow the instructions below to make a copy of this file. You should store this file on a thumb drive or some other storage media apart from your computer.

In Windows Explorer type %appdata% (with the percent signs) in the menu bar and press enter. You will go to the "application data" folder. Scroll to the bottom and look for a file called "pdd03.sdf". When you find this file, just copy it. This file contains all your data.

Note that this process will be much easier with our next release.

HOW TO REINSTALL YOUR DATA ON ANOTHER COMPUTER

Download and install PDD on a new computer using the link from the Download email. After successfully installing PDD you will have a new copy with only sample recipes. To get your own recipes, close PDD for Windows.

In Windows Explorer type %appdata% (with the percent signs) in the menu bar and press enter. You will go to the "application data" folder. Copy the old data file (pdd03.sdf), which you backed up to a thumb drive (see above), to this directory and choose to overwrite the existing data file that was created when you installed PDD. You should now have all of the data for your pets and recipes.

Apply the license key that was sent to you in the License Key email.
