Hello!! Nice to meet you all!!.

I'm looking for some feedback.

I'm a ratio raw feeder and I'm looking into ways to balance my recipes. So any advice is welcome.

But my main issue is,that I can't seem to balance this recipe at all!. It's way over the safe upper limits no matter how small the amount I enter of each ingredients and this is confusing me a lot. My girl is only 3 pounds and the amounts she needs are very small. I use a ratio calculator. For the example I put everything on 3 grams just to illustrate my issue.

I also use ground bone from beef so I thought maybe my closest bet was to use bone meal but I'll probably have e to add eggshells.

Anyway, she needs let's say 33.3 of meat,it's a very small amount! I use 85/15 ground beef because I can't afford leaner cuts, I've seen recipes with this and they aren't so calorie/fat dense.

I usually use 85)16 beef, bone ground, liver, kidney and to meals I add a veggie fruit mix, sardines, and give raw meaty bones from poultry, rabbit or small game birds like quail and guineafowl.

Any tips? What am I doing wrong?.

Hi Lifepluspaws,

Enter a different amount for each ingredient.. for instance, for everything that is 3 grams, make it 4 grams and then hit the ENTER key. Do not change the amount for all ingredients and then hit the ENTER key only once. You have to hit the ENTER key every time you change ONE ingredient. Please try this.

Hi Lifepluspaws,

Thank you for posting the images, however I cannot see some key data. Can you please attach 2 reports in pdf format:

1) Pet Recipe Analysis Report (https://www.petdietdesigner.com/en/product/pet-diet-designer-for-windows/reports/pet-recipe-analysis-report), and

2) Recipe Nutrient Report (https://www.petdietdesigner.com/en/product/pet-diet-designer-for-windows/reports/recipe-nutrient-report)

Thanks,

Hi Lifepluspaws,

Your Chihuahua needs only 139 calories per day but your recipe is formulated for 10 times that amount. You have many ingredients at 100 grams. Please change the amounts for these ingredients first.

When you change an ingredient amount, press the ENTER / RETURN key. The new amount will be saved and all the graphs will be updated. Do this for each ingredient.

Hi!. My problem is,on the images I posted above I put as low as 3 grams. And the amounts are still too high. And if I remove for example the meat, the amounts are still way over what she would need. I can't remove organs because it goes out of balance,or fish.

She eats 33.3 grams of meat. Should I put a cero before the amount?. I even put as low as 56.6 (1 oz) of everything and still got very high values and calories.
