How do I copy my PDD data to another computer? Resolved

0

First make sure that PDD on the old computer is updated to latest version. The top of your screen should say "Pet Diet Designer (v.88.3)"

You will need your data file (which holds all of your recipes) and your original license key which was emailed to you when you purchased PDD.

Copy the data file on the old computer to a thumb drive. To do this, follow the instructions below:

In Windows Explorer type %appdata% (with the percent signs) in the menu bar and press enter. You will go to the "application data" folder. Scroll to the bottom and look for a file called "pdd03.sdf". When you find this file, just copy it. This file contains all your data.

On your new computer, download and install PDD from the link sent to you in your download email.

After successfully installing PDD you will have a new copy with only sample recipes. To get your own recipes, close PDD for Windows.

In Windows Explorer type %appdata% (with the percent signs) in the menu bar and press enter. You will go to the "application data" folder. Copy the old data file (pdd03.sdf) to this directory and choose to overwrite the existing data file that was created when you installed PDD. You should now have all of the data for your pets and recipes.

Re-apply the license key.

That's it...
